Introducing Italian Barista Champion Francesco Sanapo

It Couldn't Be More Like Italian Barista Champion Francesco Sanapo.
Unless We Added A Tiny Apron.

No one appreciates great coffee like Italian Barista Champion Francesco Sanapo. So after he won his second consecutive championship, we asked him to try Barista Prima Coffeehouse® the first K-Cup® pack varieties inspired by the celebrated coffee houses of Europe. After savoring his first sip, he exclaimed, “Belissima! (Beautiful!)” and fell in love with the deep, dark brews.

Francesco's passion for coffee is part of his history. When Francesco was ten, his father taught him to make coffee in the family's café. In 2000, Francesco and his brother opened Melograno Café in Florence. At the Italy Barista Championships, Francesco finished last in 2008, second in 2009, and first in 2010 and 2011, becoming the competition's first two-time winner. He credits his improvements to "passion, research, knowledge, training, and coffee tasting, tasting, tasting." Francesco has since closed his cafe and opened a barista training school.

Trying to pick a favorite is harder than winning Italy's Barista Championship. Twice.”

A Taste of Italy

Italian Barista Champion Francesco Sanapo believes that good coffee should take you places. Every sip of Barista Prima® Italian Roast is reminiscent of sitting at a Venetian café watching the sunset over the Grand Canal. As Francesco likes to say, “Barista Prima is as enchanting as Italy itself.”
